**Please help before Monday** How do you know that any value for y will be a solution to the inequality y + 3.9 > y?

y + 3.9 > y

Subtract 'y' from each side: 3.9 > 0

This statement is true for any value of 'y'.

So its original form is also true for any value of 'y'.
