the first one is A, because you divide both numbers by two, and make sure they are in the right order.

the answer to the second one is 2/3, because 28 divided by 42 is .66666

Answer: 1. B. 1:3

2. A.
(2)/(3)

Explanation:

  • The ratio of m to n is written as
    (m)/(n)

1. Given : Rachel has 6 pairs of black shoes and 2 pairs of red shoes.

Then, the ratio of pairs of red shoes to pairs of black shoes will be :_

\frac{\text{No. of pairs of red shoes}}{\text{No. of pairs of black shoes}}\\\\=\dffrac{2}{6}=(1)/(3)

Which is written as 1:3.

Hence, the ratio of pairs of red shoes to pairs of black shoes = 1:3

Thus , correct option : B. 1:3

2. Given : In a probability experiment, Eric flipped a coin 42 times. The coin landed on heads 28 times.

Then, the ratio of heads to tails in this experiment will be :-

(28)/(42)=(2)/(3)

Hence, the correct option is : A.
(2)/(3)
