Jason had a salary change from $150 a week to $175 a week what is the approximate percent increase of his salary

Explanation:

175-150= 25/week increase

now to find what that represents as a percent:

175/150 = x/100 cross multiply

150x = 17500 divide both sides by 150

x = 116.66 *** but!!! we now have to remember we started with a "full" salary - this is an increase.

So, 166.66 - 100 = 16.66
