A store sells various types of furniture. Each item was discounted the same percent. The table shows the linear relationship between the sale price of each item and the original price of each item.

We are given a table of the original price and the sale price of various types of furniture.

Let us find the slope of the relationship between the sale price of each item and the original price of each item

Recall that the slope is given by

m=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)

Let us choose any two pairs from the given table

(x_1,y_1)=(600,480)\: \text{and}\: (x_2,y_2)=(200,160)

Let us substitute these values into the slope formula

m=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)=(160-480)/(200-600)=(-320)/(-400)=0.8

Therefore, the slope is 0.8

Please note that even if you have chosen any other pairs from the given table then still you would get the same slope since in a linear relationship the slope is always the same.
