Given:

Linear Equation:

A linear equation in two variables is an equation which is expressed in the form of ax+by+c=0 where x and y are variables and a,b,c are constants.

Hence, from the given options:

A) y =x+3 is of the form of ax+by+c = 0 so it is linear.

B) 5x-3y=7 is also linear

C)

x^2=16

This is not of the form of ax+by+c=0 so it is non linear.

D)x =7 + 2y is of the form ax+by+c=0 so it is linear.

Hence, option C is not linear out of all the options.
