x² - 9x + 18 = 0
x = -(-9) +/- √((-9)² - 4(1)(18))
2(1)
x = 9 +/- √(81 - 72)

x = 9 +/- √(9)
 2
x = 9 +/- 3

x = 4.5 + 1.5
x = 4.5 + 1.5 x = 4.5 - 1.5
x = 6 x = 3
