Number of red cars = x
Number of white cars = y

x + y = 75
y + 3 = 2x

x + y = 75
y = 75 - x

(75 - x) + 3 = 2x
78 = 3x
26 = x

y + 3 = 2(26)
y + 3 = 52
y = 49

There are 49 white cars.

Answer: 51

Explanation:

Let the number of red cars be r then the number of white cars is given by :-

2r+3

Since, the total number of cars = 75

Therefore, we have

r+2r+3=75\\\\\Rightarrow\ 3r+3=75\\\\\Rightarrow3r=75-3\\\\\Rightarrow\ 3r=72\\\\\Rightarrow\ r=24

Therefore, the number of red cars = 24.

and the number of white cars = 2(24)+3=48+3=51
