Metals

- have lustre: they appear shiny

- can conduct heat and electricity

- have a very high melting point

- are malleable(this means they can be hammered without bending)

- have a high density

- can be ductile

- mostly opaque

- make sounds when hit

- corrode easily

Non- metals

- look dull

- don't conduct heat and electricity well

- aren't ductile

- can be at any state at room temperature(solid, liquid, gas)

- mostly transparent
