(2k-10)/(-7)=8 \\ - (2)/(7)k- (10)/(7)=8 \\ - (2)/(7)k-1.43=8 \\ +1.43\ \ \ \ \ \ +1.43 \\ - (2)/(7)k=9.43 \\ * -(7)/(2)\ \ \ \ * -(7)/(2) \\ \boxed{k=-33.005}

\sf(2k-10)/(-7)=8

Multiply -7 to both sides:

\sf2k-10=-56

Add 10 to both sides:

\sf2k=-46

Divide 2 to both sides:

\sf~k=-23
