Why is it colder near the 2 poles

Because the earth is tilted so the sun doesn't shine brightly on the poles. Hope I helped! Have a great day!

It is colder near the two poles (North and South) because they are the furthest points from the equator. The further you are from the equator the colder, and vice versa - the closer, the warmer.
