A butcher is dividing a round of beef into 3 equal-sized roasts. If each roast weighs 7.9 pound, and there are 1.4 pounds of beef left over, how much did the round of beef weigh?

each roast is 7.9 lbs so you multiply that by 3.
7.9x3=23.7
now add 1.4
23.7+1.4=25.1
the round of beef weighed 25.1 pounds
