Total Time Taken = Distance Traveled / Speed
So, Time = 60 / 40 hours = 3 / 2 hours = 1.5 hours

So, the final answer is --> it will take 1.5 hours for her to reach the lake.

40\ (miles)/(hour) \cdot (1hour)/(60minutes) = (40)/(60) = (2)/(3) \ ( mile)/(minute) \\ \\ Now \ that \ we \ have \ the \ speed \ in \ ( miles)/(minute) , \ when \ we \ calculate \ the \ time, \\ \\ it \ will \ also \ be \ in \ minutes \\ \\ time = (distance)/(speed) \\ \\ time=(60)/((2)/(3))= 60 :(2)/(3)= \\ot60 ^(30) \cdot (3)/(\\ot2^1)= 90 \ minutes \\ \\ Answer : \ Rene \ gets \ to \ the \ lake \ for \ 90 \ minutes
