Didn't someone just ask this right now? lol
Subtract 16r by 9r, which gives you 7r, and that leaves you with 8 + 7r. You cannot add normal numbers to numbers with variables, so your answer is A.

You leave the 8 and then put the variable's constants together getting 7 so the answer is 8+7r or A
