B is the answer, because the larger a negative number is, the further away from zero it is

The correct answer is B.

With negative numbers, the "smaller" the number looks the bigger it is.

-2 is greater than -4.

Positive numbers are greater than negative numbers so we have:

8 > -2 > -4
