Can anyone check my work?Is it right? If it is wrong what is the correct answer and where did I go wrong?

The answer is correct and you can always check your answer by substituting you the values in the question,

y + 2x = 9


according to your answer


5+ 2(2) = 9

9 = 9 (the answer is correct)

\sf{(2,5)}.
