So,

Molly runs two-thirds of a mile in 8 minutes.

(2)/(3) = 8

Multiply both sides of the equation by the reciprocal.

(2)/(3) * (3)/(2) = (8)/(1) * (3)/(2)

$1\ mile\ = (8)/(3) \ min.\ or\ 2 (2)/(3)\ min.\ or\ 2.666...\ min.\ or\ 2\ min.\ 40\ secs.$
