How many moles of O2 are needed to react with 1.44 mol of Aluminum(Al)?

Aluminum reacts with oxygen based on the following equation:
4Al + 3O2 → 2Al2O3

From this balanced equation, we can see that 4 moles of aluminum are required to react with 3 moles of oxygen.

So, to find the number of moles of oxygen needed to react with 1.44 moles of aluminum, all you have to do is cross multiplication as follows:
required moles of oxygen = (1.44x3) / 4 = 1.08 moles
