Over time, the respect that the Romans felt for the Etruscans grew. Etruscans are credited for bringing their culture, art and music to the North of Italy, thus being influential in the development of early Rome.

In later years, the Romans increasingly saw the Etruscans as honorable men. Romans learned a lot of the Etruscan culture, and even adopted their way of dressing, aspects of their religion and their way of organizing armies.

In general, the feelings of the Romans for the Etruscans changed from hatred in the early days of the republic, to hatred mixed with respect in the later days after many wars had been fought.
