First of all, I would like to thank Cosmos for deleting my incorrect answer. (applause)

Now, we will proceed to our main program.

Manipulate -6y + 2x = 18 into the y = mx + b form.

Subtract 2x from both sides
-6y = -2x + 18

Divide both sides by -6

y = (-2)/(-6)x + (18)/(-6)

Simplify

y = (1)/(3) x - 3

The slope will be the coefficient of x.

The\ slope\ is\ (1)/(3) \ .

-6y + 2x = 18

Subtract 2x to both sides:

-6y = -2x + 18

Divide -6 to both sides:

y = -2/-6x - 3

Simplify:

y = 1/3x - 3

Now it's in the form of y = mx + b, where 'm' is the slope.

So the slope here is 1/3.
