$(x+4)/(3)\cdot2=12\\ 2(x+4)=36\\ 2x+8=36\\ 2x=28\\ x=14$

(n + 4)/3 * 2 = 12

Divide 2 to both sides:

(n + 4)/3 = 6

Multiply 3 to both sides:

n + 4 = 18

Subtract 4 to both sides:

n = 14
