You can use the distance formula for this. √(x-x)² + (y-y)²

So, √(0 + 6) + (-8 +2)
=√(6)² + (-6)²
=√36 + 36
=√72
=6√2

So, the distance between those points is 6√2 units.

Distance\ Formula \\ \sqrt{(y2-y1)^(2)+(x2-x1)^(2)} \\ \\ \sqrt{(-2-(-8))^(2)+(-6-0)^(2)} \\ \\ \sqrt{(6)^(2)+(-6)^(2)} \\ \\ √(36+36)= √(72) \\ \\ √(9*8)= 3√(8)=3 √(4*2)=6 √(2) \\ \\ \boxed{6 √(2) }
