-2x - 4 > 10
Multiply both sides by -1 and reverse the inequality symbol.
2x + 4 < -10
Now subtract both sides by 4.
2x + 4 - 4 < -10 - 4
2x < -14
Divide both sides by 2.
2x/2 < -14/2
x < -7
