so 5/6 times 8
multiplying fractions is like this
(note, xt=x times t and zy=z times y)
if x/y times t/z=(xt)/(yz) so
5/6 times 8
8=8/1 so
5/6 times 8/1=(5 times 8)/(6 times 1)=40/6=20/3=6 and 2/3

Multiply the numerators and denominators together:
40/6
Simplify:
20/3
Convert to a mixed number:
6 2/3
