Area means the length times the width. This means they will equal anything that is multiplyed to get 12. It could be 6 and 2 because they equal 12. It could also be 4 times 3 which is 12. The last could be 12 and 1. These are all the possibilities for the length and width. The order doesn't matter though so it could also be flipped (2·6 instead of 6·2) Hope this helps!
