2x + 4y = 1 ⇒ 6x + 12y = 3
3x - 5y = 7 ⇒ 6x - 10y = 14
22y = 17
22 22
y = 17/22
2x + 4(17/22) = 1
2x + 3 1/11 = 1
-3 1/11 -3 1/11
2x = -2 1/11
2 2
x = -1 1/22
(x y) = (-1 1/22, 17/22)
