What is 5/8 + 3/4 because I am doing fractions right know

(5)/(8) + (2)/(4)

Denominators should be of same numbers


(5)/(8) + (3~multiply~by~2)/(4~multiply~by~2)


(5)/(8) + (6)/(8)


(11)/(8)

(5)/(8) + (3)/(4) =


So,

(5)/(8) + (3)/(4) * (2)/(2) = (5)/(8) + (6)/(8) = (11)/(8)

Simplified as mixed number equals to
1 (3)/(8)

(Keep in mind that the LCM was 8.)
