Hi there!

1. (0,4) and (-8,-1)

SLOPE=(Y_2-Y_1)/(X_2-X_1)=(RISE)/(RUN)

((-1)-4)/((-8)-0)=(-5)/(-8)=(5)/(8)

Slope is 5/8.

Final answer is C. 5/8.

2. (1,-5) and (4,1)

SLOPE=(Y_2-Y_1)/(X_2-X_1)=(RISE)/(RUN)

(1-(-5))/(4-1)=(6)/(3)=2

Slope is 2.

Final answer is 2.

Hope this helps!

Have a nice day! :)

:D

Thank you! :)

The formula to find it is (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)
Substituting 4 in for y2, 0 for x2, -1 for y1, and -8 for x1
Thus, doing the subtraction you get 5/8
Letter (C)
