SOLUTION

Given the question in the question tab, the following are the solution steps to get the cost of the roofing material

Step 1: The square pyramid has 4 triangles. To get the cost, we first find the area of the 4 triangles

\begin{gathered} side=base=26m \\ \text{height}=25m \\ \text{Area}=(1)/(2)* base* height \\ \text{Area}=(1)/(2)*26*25 \\ \text{Area}=325m^2 \\ \text{Area of the 4 triangles}=4*325=1300m^2 \end{gathered}

Step 2: Calculate the cost of the roofing material

\begin{gathered} 1m^2=8.59 \\ 1300m^2=x \\ By\text{ cross multiplication,} \\ x*1=1300*8.59 \\ x=11167 \end{gathered}

Hence, the cost of the roofing material for the building will be $11167
