How do you round 36.15 to the nearest whole number? Please explain if possible

The nearest whole number would be 36 this is because the first number after the decimal is below 5

So, in order to round properly, anything under 4 goes down to zero and anything 5 or above goes UP to the nearest zero. it all depends on your desired number that you're rounding to.

EX: 69.436

hundredth place- 69.44

tenths place - 69.4

whole #- 69
