The angles of a quadrilateral measure x degrees, (x+30) degrees, (x+40) degrees and 170 degrees. What is the measure of the smallest angle?

x+x+30+x+40+170=360\\ 3x=120\\ x=40

x + (x + 30) + (x + 40) + 170 = 360
x + x + x + 30 + 40 + 170 = 360
3x + 240 = 360
-240 -240
3x = 120
3 3
x = 40
