2x + 19y = 3 ⇒ 2x + 19y = 3 ⇒ 2x + 19y = 3
1x - 3 = 7y ⇒ 1x - 7y = 3 ⇒
2x + 14y = 6
5y
=
-3
5 5
y = -3/5
2x + 19(-3/5) = 3
2x - 11 2/5 = 3
+11 2/5 +11 2/5
2x
=
14 2/5
2 2
x = 7 1/5
(x, y) = (7 1/5, -3/5)
