well the area of a rectangle is width times length, so you can flip the equation to say that width = area divided by length, or length = area divided by width :)

if the area is 5 5/8, and the length is 1 1/2, all you have to do to find the width is divide the area by the length.
5 5/8 / 1 1/2 = 3 3/4 yards
