Freefall can only be experienced when gravity is the only force acting on you. Weightlessness can be experienced on earth with air resistance and gravity like on a rollercoaster when you are just about to go down the hill.

free fall means your falling because of gravity and weight and will eventually hit the ground without any protection. weightlessness means a place or time where there is no gravity and you're floating and not falling.
