first you turn 1 1/3= 4/3 next you multiply 4/3 x 5/6 = 20/18 then you simplify 20/18 = 10/9 finally you turn 10/9 into a mixed number which is 1 1/9

so 1 and 1/3 times 5/6
first convert 1 1/3 into improper fraction (x/y)
1 1/3=3/3+1/3=4/3
4/3 times 5/6=(4 times 5)/(3 times 6)=20/18=10/9
the answer is 10/9 or 1 and 1/9 or 1 1/9
