There are two right angle triangles, triangle ABC and Triangle EDF. Angle BAC is congruent to angle EDF, side AB is congruent to side DE, side AC is congruent to side DF. The length of side BC is 13x-12 and the length of side EF is 7x-6.What is the value of x?

1) Since there are two congruent triangles, then we can write considering BC ≅ EF. If both sides are congruent then we can write:

13x -12 = 7x -6

13x -7x = 12 -6

6x= 6

x=1

2) Therefore the value of x = 1
