1. The people in Cambodia live, work, and play on the river. Dams being built further up the river in China threaten their livelihood. How would a dam impact their environment?

A dam would stop the river from flowing at full potential. The level would drop, leading to a shifting river course, weaker river, and possibly send certain areas into a drought. It would also stop the upper water flow, which is what holds nutrients and warmer waters, so what comes out is the dead, colder water.
