Taking off 10% of £680;

10% of 680 =

0.1 * 680 = 68

Therefore;

$680 - 68 = \boxed{612}$

Also we could say that 10% off something is 90% of that number,

90% of 680 =

$0.9 * 680 = \boxed{612}$
