What is the slope-intercept form of 8x - y - 6 = 0?

Can anyone explain how to make it step by step?

The slope intercept form is Y=mx + b
8x - y - 6=0
-8x -8x
-y= -6+8x = 0
+6 +6
-y = 8x + 6
