x - 5y = 18
x = 18 + 5y

2x - 3y = -13
2 ( 18 + 5y ) - 3y = -13
36 +10y - 3y = -13
36 + 7y = -13
7y = -49
y = -7

x = 18 + 5y = 18 + 5(-7) = 18 - 35 = -17

So, x = -17 and y = -7

2x-3y=-13

x-5y=18,
x=18+5y

2(18+5y)-3y=-13

36+10y-3y=-13

36+7y=-13

7y=-49

y=-7

x-5(-7)=18

x+35=18

x=-17

Answer: (-17,-7)
