Solve the equation t/4 = 16

t = 4 * 16;
t = 64;

The solution is correct because 64 / 4 = 16;

First you do you opposite of dividing because of the 4 dividing the t. Since the opposite of division is multiplication you multiply and the 4's cancel each other out. So now you have t=16 but what you do to one side you do to the other so you have to * 4 the 16 giving you 64. so now you have 4 = 64. To check you have to divide 64 by 4 giving you  16 once more showing its correct.
