I have a question. In my class we are doing a new unit and I don't understand it. We are solving systems of equations by graphing. I don't understand how to graph each point for both equations and how they intersect each other.

there is an example:
{ x+y=8
x-y=4

x + y = 8
x - y = 4
2x = 12
2 2
x = 6
6 + y = 8
-6 -6

y = 2
(x, y) = (6, 2)

You'd do x+x, y+(-y), and 8+4. You'll get 2x+0=12.
X=6 and y=2
