to simplify a fraction, u must divide the numerator and the denominator by the same number and you know 2 do this when you find a common factor with the numerator and denominator. you divide by the common factor.

Find the greatest common factor of the fraction's top and bottom numbers. If it's more than '1' then the fraction can be simplified. Divide the top and bottom numbers by their greatest common factor.
