Is reproduction important to the survival of an individual? Why would you say that living things reproduce if some individual living things may not reproduce?

For the first question, reproduction is not essential for the survival of an individual (e.g. a person wouldn't die if they decide they don't want to have children). It's important to remember, however, that reproduction IS essential for the survival of the species as a whole (e.g if all humans decided they didn't want to have children, the species wouldn't continue as individuals would die without being replaced by their offspring). I'm not sure what you mean by the second part of your question though, sorry.

-It is a biological process by which living organisms produce offspring’s similar to them. It ensures continuity of various species on the Earth.

-Reproduction is vital to the success of a species. For a species to survive it must be able to produce more offspring than it loses though old age, disease, and predation.

-Living things reproduce through asexual reproduction and sexual reproduction.

-In the absence of reproduction species will not be able to exist for a long time as they may soon get extinct.
