Quarter is the same as 1/4 or 0.25.
So, you just need to multiply 9 with 1/4 or 0.25.
The answer is 9/4 or 2.25.

a quarter is either:
A. 1/4
B. 25 cents
if it is 1/4 then
9 quartrers is 9 times 1/4=9/4=2 and 1/4
if it is 25 cents then
0.25 dollars times 9=$2.25
