The homestead act:
Concerned to establish the development of a prosperous and autonomous nation, the United States of America established a policy neutral to the disputes of European countries. In fact, this attitude of isolationist nature ended up providing the necessary stability so that the newly formed country could reach an ascending socioeconomic picture. The visible growth of the American economy ended up impelling the search for new lands. In a short time, a number of internal migrants and immigrants from Europe would be interested in conquering the regions to the West.
The trans continental railroad:
The First Transcontinental Railroad helped spur the race for land in west because it established a mechanized transcontinental transportation network that revolutionized the population and economy of the American West.
