18(m+4/9)-16=118
18m+18*(4/9) -16 = 118 (i used distributive property)
18m+8 -16 = 118
18m-8 = 118
18m = 126 ( i added 8 to both sides)
m = 126/18
m = 7

18 (m + 4/9) - 16 = 118 Get rid of the parentheses by multiplying 18 * M + 4/9
18M + 8 - 16 = 118 Subtract 8 - 16
18M - 8 = 118 Add 8 to both sides
18M = 118 + 8 Add 118 + 8
18M = 126 Divide 126/18
M = 7
