79 divided by 10= 7 7x10= 70 79-70=9 Put a 0 beside the nine Put the decimal beside the 7 10x9=90 90-90=0 Ur answer is 7.9

The answer is 7.9. If you put 79 on a piece of paper under a place value chart, move the nine from ones to tenths (the first number after the decimal point). Then move 7 from tens to ones. Hope this helps!
