Given:

y=b^x

Find: the value of "b"

Sol:

Check for different values so.

y=b^x

At "y = 2" value of "x" is -1 then check .

\begin{gathered} y=b^x \\ \\ y=2,x=-1 \\ \\ \end{gathered}

Put the value of "x" and "y" then:

\begin{gathered} y=b^x \\ \\ 2=b^(-1) \\ \\ 2=(1)/(b) \\ \\ b=(1)/(2) \\ \\ b=0.5 \end{gathered}

So the value of "b" is 0.5
