(2x+3/12)=2x/8
Simplified: 2x+1/4 = x/4
Put each term in 2x+1/4 over the common denominator 4:
Multiply both sides by 4:
Subtract x from both sides:
Subtract 1 from both sides:
1-1 = 0: 7x = -1
Divide both sides of 7x = -1 by 7:
(7x)/7= (-1)/7
7/7= 1
