A voltage of 164,112 V in a transmission line is reduced to 65,270 V at the area substation, to 13,115 V at the distributing substation and finally to 894 V at a utility pole outside your house. What turn ratio Ns/Np is required for entire process.

Turn ratio Ns/Np is equal to the ratio of voltage between the secondary (lower voltage) and the primary (higher voltage).

Ns/Np = Vs/Vp = 894/164112

Ns/Np = 0.00545
